This weeks Quick 5 is with Amel aka Ugly Mely! I think you all know this girl and if you don’t get to know her ASAP. I’ve been following her for a lonnngggg time already and met her back in march when I was in Berlin for the Overkill Women opening. She has one of the best sneaker collection (+ pin collection) and she knows her stuff! So of course I had to ask her for this quick 5 interview!

Can you tell something about yourself?
My real name is Amel, i’m 30 yo (since few days…) i’m living in Paris and I was born in East of France. Now I’m a Social Media Strategist for the french brand Le Coq Sportif. I launched my blog “Ugly Mely” a daily dose of streetculture in 2008 and i started collecting sneakers in 1994, i was so young but my first pair was a Fila Grant Hill ! I met a lot of people with my blog and i did nice projets like my own sneakers collaboration with Reebok in 2012 and my book “sneakers” in 2015 ! Can’t wait for a new project ! Stay tuned !

A list of “essentials things” to have with you to do a perfect sneakershot :
A good camera, a street background, a clean skin, a nice outfit.
5. Can you give us some Paris tips for food/shopping etc
Paris is my beautiful city, I love and hate her everyday! We have good sneaker shops like: Sneakersnstuff, Blackrainbow, Shinzo, Starcow, Opium, MW Shift, Adidas No42 Paris, Citadium, and Pigalle. My “foodie” spots; For lunch : Filakia and Nous Restaurant. For dinner: Paris Hanoi, Hotel Grand Amour for a date, Depanneur Pigalle to eat with good music.
