In Real Life – Vanessa Granda x Girl on Kicks #4

Meeting people in real life.

Something that might seem terrifying in some cases (tinder dates and all). But in my experience meeting new people is the best. I always get so much energy and inspiration from meeting new people. And with the world being as online as it is nowadays it is really easy to find people through social media who have the same interests as you.

I’ve been following Vanessa (@ohmynessa) for a couple of years already and I’m the biggest fan of her work. Also we already had some contact through social media. So when I booked my NYC trip I knew that I wanted to meet Vanessa in real life. We decided to meet, chill and shoot a little story together. I met at her apartment in Bushwick and we instantly clicked and had so much fun. Also I’ve never felt this comfortable in front of the camera before. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it one more time; Social Media makes the world so much smaller.

This outfit is part of a editorial series of 4 which I will post over the next couple of weeks (see the first onesecond one and third one in this series). The last part of this series is one of my favorites and the fact that this is my last NYC content makes me so sad. But it just means I have to go back asap to create some more content with Vanessa. This one was shot at a laundry place I passed every day on my way back ‘home’. I’ve always wanted to shoot at a place like this so when I saw this location I immediately thought; I need to go here with Vanessa. Wearing these fancy pants and a vintage Coke jacket I found the day before at the Brooklyn Flea market. And of course my all time favorite silver bullet AM97’s.  Which one out of the four outfits is your favorite?

wearing – Nike air max 97 Silver Bullet (get them here), Forever21 pants, Ace&Tate sunnies (here), RC Cola vintage bomber
