One of my new years resolutions was to travel more. So I think I’m on the right track, haha! Berlin based sneaker heavy weight Overkill opened a womens store last monday. And I was invited to come over and join the Mi – adidas Girls Club Expo. Me and 4 other female sneakerheads were asked to create a Mi – adidas shoe. Which was gonna be launched and showed at the OverkillWomen store opening. So adidas and Overkill took us to Berlin for 2 days. And heres a not so little recap on what these 2 days looked like.
DAY 1
I arrived late on sunday. After being picked up from the airport I quickly dropped off my luggage at the hotel and we went for tapas. Lots of tapas (read; Garlic) later we headed back to hotel to go to bed early because we had a busy day ahead of us!
On monday we started with brunch with the girl gang..this being; Ugly Mely, Juice Gee, Snkr.Art, Rebecca and myself. Very smart move to wear my new crispy white NMD’s (I had to watch every step I took, haha). After brunch we went to Overkill and chilled there for a bit until we were being picked up by our tourguide who took us on a streetart tour in Kreuzberg! Which was so much fun!
After the tour we headed back to Overkill because the opening party was about to start and we had to host our own little expo corner. Also there were some exclusive releases and raffles so the line outside the store was insane! About the event; Loads of people, cupcakes, beer, food, sneakers, raffles, live music, Jette painting custom 3D printed EQT’s, more people, fun, cupcakes, Need More sneakerart laughs, sneakers and did I already mention cupcakes? So yeah; fun night! And my Mi adidas Superstar 80’s design came out SO DOPE! (Please let me know if you would like it to, because I can share the design with you if you want!)

DAY 2
Waking up early to go for breakfast with the girl gang. After breakfast we started our own little sneaker/streetwear stores tour in Berlin. of course some good food and coffee as well! Heres some of the stores we visited;
- Voo Store (favorite!)
- Kickz (pretty new in town)
- No74 (high end sportswear/streetwear)
- SOTO (from the founder of High Snobiety)
- Firmament(vans, acronym, stone island, visvim etc)
- Pauls Boutique (vintage sneaker/clothing heaven! wish we had more time there!).
We went to ‘Bonanza coffee‘ for duuuh.. coffee. And my fav asian lunch place ‘District Mot‘ (That pink burger is called the ‘Hot Bao Bling’). After all that it was time to go back home. Almost missed my flight and I was MAD stressed, but thank god it all worked out, haha!
