The one that started it all; The air max 1. Not just for air max but also for me as a sneakerhead. The air max 1 was the shoe that actually got me started collecting sneakers. 11 years ago the air max 1 ‘beastpack’ released and I by that time I was still in highschool. My best friend was already into air max and collecting and he contaminated me with the sneaker virus. I saw a photo of the beastpacks on a sneaker forum a couple of weeks after the release and fell head over heals in love. Together with my friend we hunted the shoe down online and found it in the US for a ‘reasonable price’. I started learning more about sneakers, the sneaker community and releases and a few years later I started working at the Nike store in Amsterdam during my studies. The rest is history, haha!
I told you that I would be creating content for Nike.com and this 1 with the air max 1 OG ‘Sport Blue’ is the first one going online (see the feature here). So weird to see my face up on the Nike website. If you would’ve told me a couple of years ago that I would be creating content for Nike now I would’ve laughed at you. But I guess hard work pays off and I’m super happy to share this set of photos with you.
